ABOUT ME

I’m a cinematographer, post-producer, and filmmaker based in Portland, Maine. I’ve been shooting and editing professionally for over a decade, beginning my career in Boston, MA, and then working as an in-house videographer, photographer, editor, and post-producer at an advertising agency in Portland. Since 2022, I've run my own successful freelance business, mainly post-producing for a wide variety of clients including agencies, production houses, and corporations.

Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have worked in many diverse settings, from big-budget commercial shoots to “run-and-gun” solo/passion projects, and everything in between. In addition to my fluency shooting with all common camera setups and comfort working in industry-standard post-production software, I’ve concepted, written, and scored videos and short films. I truly enjoy every part of the production process and am constantly seeking to improve my skills across all of these areas.

When I'm not shooting or editing, you can find me on the golf course or in the studio—I'm a fine art painter and member of an Artist Collective in Portland, ME. Check out my work at jeffdanfordart.com!
